Barely got to glance up at this afternoon's Columbo, I was so focused on sewing flowers and hair bands for the play.
So, Friday was The Great Shakespeare Costume Search (part the second). And it was declared a success by all; phew. Yesterday was the Great Granola Bake-Off, and today's all flowers and ribbon. Time for a pre-rehearsal snack, then it's off to the Garden to play...
And in true topical naming fashion, the fishies were christened Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. And it is with a heavy heart that I declare, 'Guildenstern is dead'.
Tom Stoppard would do something clever with this situation. But me - I'm hungry, and off to crank up the Food Machine :-)

Noticing Absences
Ah, welcome back, local Leisure Centre. You were missed.
Okay, I guess technically speaking, it hadn't gone anywhere as such, but it did close for several weeks. Which felt like months and months and months.
Life without a sauna across the road; whimper whimper...
But it's back up and running; now in a pretty shade of pale blue, and with funky new lights in the steam room. And these days it's a community-run facility; by the people for the people.
So far so good...
Off to see Slumdog this evening. Last week, the cinema's popcorn machine was out of order. Shudder shudder. Trying not to worry too much, but...

Long day's journey...
Long day :-) I left Dublin shortly after 6am, picked up all our costumes in a roadwork-clogged Limerick, then headed for West Cork.
Nap. Costume fittings. Rehearsal - which is still going strong, but I'm not in Act IV, so I dragged my ready-for-a-sleep self home. Got a head cold over the weekend, so I snuffled a bit through my evil conniving vampy scenes. (The Master of Costumes this morning thought I'd lost my voice as well, but I reckon that's just a result of family conversations & playtime.)
Anyhoo, home now; I have taken a certain mother's advice, and poured myself a glass o'wine.
I also test-drove my new "food machine". Obviously. Aaah, chilli popcorn - such a warming treat on a wintery evening for a tired snuffley lady!
